With the year nearing a close and the holiday season officially beginning I’ve been thinking about how thankful I am for the growing success of my company and my team. Just in the past couple months, there have been a lot of changes happening that we’ve taken head on and have overcome every obstacle we’ve been faced with. It’s been a rollercoaster of a ride and chaotic, to say the least, but that’s what makes the success that much sweeter. Being it’s that time of year I’m taking this time of reflection to list what I am thankful for.
Beginning our journey we moved from a small office space into a larger more accommodating one for our quickly growing team and clientele. It was a bitter-sweet process leaving our comfortable and familiar space behind and having to quickly adjust to a larger space and make it feel like home. Within a couple of days after painting and adding familiar decorations the new space felt like home in no time to the entire team. We hustled and made the space more than just an office we needed out of necessity we created a comfortable work environment as a team. I’m grateful that my team always has each other's backs and takes pride in the company as much as I do.
My team works very hard and efficiently but I’ve had to add a few new players in the past couple months to take on some of the work load. My close-knit team is comfortable wearing many hats at any given time throughout the day but I decided we could all use an extra hand. Adding new people to the team can be a challenge especially when the work dynamic of the existing team flows so well. I was definitely apprehensive bringing on these new players and made sure their personal brand aligned with ours. I am very happy with the work they are doing and also the positive attitude they bring to the table every day. I am thankful that my team welcomed them with open arms and that their diverse personalities added some unique points of view and seamlessly fit in with the existing members’.
In addition to our ongoing projects, we’ve been working on one major project for the past couple of months, which has been a huge opportunity for my team. It’s helping us expand our knowledge base and strengthen our abilities - even though I feel we are the best, there is always room for growth. Any and all challenges we face are opportunities in disguise that allow us to stretch our “thinking muscles” and think outside the box, find new solutions, learn to be more patient and apply these skills to all future endeavors. I’m grateful for the past, present and future opportunities that contribute the success of my team and business.
Lastly, I am incredibly grateful for the new and existing clients we’ve had the opportunities to work with -this year and in past years. Without them we would not be where we are today, I am confident when I say that we -myself and my team- would not be as successful as we are without their support and loyalty. I know that we will continue to succeed with each new client we gain because their business is an asset to ours.
