I learned that holding yourself accountable doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing, especially in the professional world. When people hear “accountability” their mind usually goes to taking responsibility for something bad that has happened. This isn’t always true. It is important to hold yourself accountable at all times and for everything you do. This is a respectful trait to have and shows that you are ready to face consequences, both good and bad.
The projects that I have enjoyed working on the Most are True Film Tuesday and our internal photoshoot. I have enjoyed True Film Tuesday because it is something that we as interns had full creative control over. It is a moment every Tuesday where we come together as a team and take some personal time to reflect on the company core values. As for the photoshoot, I was given the opportunity to plan and dream up the concept. The shoot is at the end of July so keep your eyes peeled! I am confident that there will be some quality content. That is all I can say for now…
One thing I would do differently to improve TFP for the interns would be to try and coordinate the days that we are in the office. Although we made it work, it would have been much easier if we worked the same days. Instead of spending time catching each other up, we would automatically be on the same page with the progress and changes being made.
A moment at TFP that I am most proud of is writing my first blog post called True Film Tuesday. In this blog post I describe, you guessed it, True Film Tuesday. I am proud of the way I harnessed the companies tone and I think that I did a good job of encompassing why we started this series. Another one of my proud moments is planning the internal photoshoot and I am confident that I will be proud of the outcome as well!
I would say that team comradery is one of the main reasons for this company’s success. Everyone is working towards a common goal and you can feel that energy inside of the office. I have never seen anyone shy away from a collaboration or constructive criticism which is important when working in a creative environment.
