Why I Love TFP: Anthony Sarni III

The “Why I Love” series is a Q & A session with members of the True Film Production team. This week we feature our Executive Producer Anthony Sarni III.
Describe your role in 3 sentences or less.
As a producer I am in charge of all video projects. I decide on the best creative and logistical approach and assemble the team to execute. I lead a team of account managers, editors and crew members to bring all projects together.
What about your job makes you smile?
Working creatively, managing a team and working with various crew members allows me to learn about all facets of production. Also, working with different clients allows me to learn about new industries, services, and products that I would otherwise not know of.
If you were recruiting a new TFP team member, what would your pitch be?
It’s a great to work if you love collaboration. Everyone works closely together to get work done. And you are not bottled into any specific roles.
Which of our 5 core values do you resonate with the most?
Good Vibes because Don’t be a @#$>. No matter your skills and talent, if people like working with you they will find ways to work with you. Crappy attitudes don’t go a long way in the workplace or on set.
Why did you choose Batman as your superhero?
Because I’m Batman.

I was part of a sketch comedy group in college. I’m a big comedy fan so being able to write and perform it for people was huge joy. We also replicated SNL sketches that we liked. Being a long time fan of the show, it was a blast performing some of my favorite sketches. I want to continue comedy as a hobby.
What’s your favorite movie?
Boogie nights. It’s a great ensemble of characters and you feel connected to them all individually. Paul Thomas Anderson is one of my favorite filmmakers for this reason. Also, I enjoy the time period it takes place in and it makes for a groovy soundtrack.
What’s your favorite TFP or TI video?
Mission Recess, Michael Hynes TI. I reached out to him, spoke to him, developed the story and directed the project. It wound up getting over 100k views on facebook which means the story touched and inspired a lot of people. Something I’m very proud of.
